    The mission of the Bayport Police Department is to provide the highest quality professional police services in partnership with our community.  Our members are entrusted to consistently seek and find ways to affirmatively promote, preserve, and deliver a feeling of safety and security while providing service and problem resolution to all persons within Bayport city.

    SPECIAL WEAPONS AND TACTICS
    Lead by: J. Finnie


    Bayport's elite tactical unit resolves critical incidents involving a threat to public safety which regular officers cannot handle.
    SWAT responds upon request of incident commanders to barricade/hostages and/or suicide intervention as well as initiate service of high-risk warrants for all department entities. Units will disarm, solve and ensure safety doing this in the most efficient and best way.
    Organized and put in effect since 2 May 2019.

    TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT DIVISION
    Lead by:
    S. Penrod

    Bayport's traffic units are specialized trained units to help and manage traffic collisions, traffic laws and ensure safety on the road. 
    Their specialized training for pursuits allows them to quickly and safety disarm a pursuit and restore order on the road.
    Traffic units also specialize in DUI incidents and will keep drunk people off the road.
    Organized and put in effect since 10 March 2019.
